CycloCross X3.0 Tub Wheels

The X3.0 wheels are designed for cyclocross glory. You can now use disc brakes in the mud and dirt of the CX track. You can have control and the ability to brake later into the corners before fast acceleration away from the chasing pack. Stiff and light race wheels perform at the highest level with the Nano technology in it’s ideal habitat keeping rims clean and weight free throughout racing.
With the developing trend of disc brake use in cyclocross the X3.0 wheel set offers a light, strong and stylish disc brake specific cyclocross wheel set. Cyclocross events are typically held in wet and muddy conditions and the nano surface allows mud and filth to be shed easily, keeping rotating weight to the minimum and speed to the max! At 1441g these wheels are fast to accelerate out of corners, essential for cross racing.

USE Carbon wheels are at the cutting edge of technology. Using specialist techniques and state of the art materials, the USE carbon rims utilise the latest carbon weaves to produce a super stiff, lightweight and aerodynamic rim. The wide 25mm rim profiles ensure improved overall aerodynamics in a range of wind directions.

USE has developed a Nano Surface Finish (patent pending) for its wheels. The surface reduces drag and reduces the ability of dirt and mud to stick. This technology was developed utilising the state of the art Guilford wind tunnel.

The same principles have also been used by the Great Britain team at the London Olympics to help maximise the performance of their equipment in their quest for gold.

The high tech carbon rims are built onto USE’s super-efficient hubs which boast fully sealed cartridge bearings and a 6pawl, 30 point engagement ensuring a fast pickup. Sapim CX Ray spokes complete the build ensuring they are up amongst the most desirable wheels on the market.
