The all new R1 Aerobar
The R1 Aero bar is the latest offering in our range. Picking up where the Tula bar left off, the R1 breaks barriers in aero bar technology. The all new design allows a range of arm rest height and width positions enabling the perfect aerodynamic position to be found.
The R1 uses the inline brake lever design to reduce drag. The carbon base bar is exceedingly light and fulfils the UCI’s 3:1 ratio requirements meaning that this bar can be used in all competitions.
The R1 has been developed to produce less drag than all its competitors, requiring only 7.8watts of power to travel at 31mph. This means it requires 35% less power than the Tula bar to travel at 31mph (one of the fastest aero bars available) and a massive 69% wattage saving over an equivalent 3:1 competitor bar. These wattage savings mean increased speed and faster times!
The benefits of the R1’s aerodynamic design are available to any rider. The slender cross section of the aero wing enables it to be fitted to any bike through a range of shims so even integrated designs can be upgraded. The bar is supplied with shims to fit a standard 31.8mm stem, shims for the Specialized Shiv and Giant Trinity are also available and others by request. Please email us for more information.
