The R1 has been developed to produce less drag than all its competitors, requiring only 7.8watts of power to travel at 31mph; a massive 69% wattage saving over an equivalent 3:1 competitor bar. Increased speed and faster times!
New projects
USE have some exciting developments in the pipe line over the next few months. There have been a number of on-going projects over the past year. Some have taken longer than expected, others have powered ahead at full steam.
The longest project has been the development of our new aero bar, the R1. The old Tula bar was regarded by many as the fastest UCI legal bar on the market but this will be eclipsed by the launch of the R1. Testing on the R1 has shown it to have 30% less drag than the Tula bar along with added adjustability for the arm rests.
The bar is in the final stages of production and will be ready this summer.
The second major project that has been in the works is the wheel project. USE will be launching a range of carbon wheels over the course of the next few months.
There will be a range of models, a disk specific 30mm cyclocross tub, 30mm, 45mm and 80mm roads tubs, a 45mm road clincher and finally a 29er Mountain Bike wheel set.
