Dual Beam Optics (DBO) Explained

Exposure lights exclusively use collimated lens techonology. These lenses are World renowned as the most efficient optics to be used with LEDs. Moving on from our previous model ranges, we have this year developed "Dual Beam Optics" (DBO) in our collimated lens. What we have acheived is the perfect combination of flood and spot beam pattern in a single collimated lens that measures only 18mm in diameter! Using the same DBO lens across the MaXx range gives optimum beam pattern on the trail or on the road from each light. Again, it's as simple as 1,2,3 whether you have a Joystick, Race or Enduro light, each uses the same DBO lens.
Here's what the magazines say:
"….output is great with easily enough light output to rip up the trails at almost daylight speeds…" MBR 10/10
“...the beam has plenty of reach and uniform spread of natural looking light…" MBR 10 / 10
“...a beam that’s sufficiently powerful, with even tone and excellent breadth, that your vision towards the margins of the trail isn’t compromised….." WMB Score 9
"bracket...fi res out clear bright central beam…giving enough depth for confidence and decent breadth too. ...great beam with excellent duration at a reasonable price" 220 Triathlon Score 9
"the beam has good reach with well-graduated fade to the outside of a very broad beam that gives excellent peripheral vision…." MBUK Score 9

This picture shows the lens of a normal Exposure light. Please note that the mark that can be seen at 12.00 on the picture is normal. The mark is caused during the moulding process, during which time that lenses are moulded on a jig, much like a plastic model aeroplane. This mark does not affect the beam pattern or output of the light.
The small "scratches" that are visible are there to help optimize the light output - they are not poorly cared for or "second hand" lenses - these lenses are not meant to be 100% clear like glass.
